Re-entry is a challenge for cross-cultural workers who return to their passport country. Vivian Erickson joins the discussion as we talk about some of the surprises, joys and difficulties of moving back home. We will explore what workers can do to help prepare for the big move and to make the changes necessary to adapt to what should feel like home, but doesn’t always do so. Vivian Erickson and her husband, David, served with Christar from 1986 to 2017 in Kenya, Pennsylvania, Northern Africa and virtually with the International Division. Through the years she has experienced several reentries--some planned and some not. For the past seven years she worked at her local library. Today she is enjoying retired life in Mid-Atlantic United States. She spends her time enjoying her three daughters, five granddaughters (her grandson is waiting for her in heaven) and nine great grandchildren. She volunteers at her church and in her community.
