Brian, a global worker in the Philippines, was kidnapped in 1986. His wife was left behind. Carol Ann went to Iran with Christar in 1978 but was forced to leave after 16 months due to the Iranian revolution. She subsequently relocated to the Philippines. Brian went to the Philippines in 1983. They met, got married and spent about 20 years in the country. With their coworkers, they established the first church among a Muslim people groups. That church plant grew with believers from multiple ethnic groups and now has many daughter churches and outreaches among other Muslim Filipino tribes. God confirmed that their work in the Philippines was finished, and in 2003 they came to Ontario, Canada to begin a new work among Kurdish refugees and immigrants. Today, they partner with a Kurdish believer and his wife in establishing the first Kurdish church in Canada. They have three adult children, two of them married, and two grandchildren, all living in Southern Ontario.
