How can we keep the Great Commission as a focus of the whole church? Terri Sherman, Meagan Landis and Bethany Zipprick share their experience working at Calvary Church in Lancaster, PA and what their church does to help their members stay focused on missions. The church seeks to be intentional in fostering a vision for missions in every age group. Children, teens and adults are consistently made aware of missions and how they can serve and pray for cross-cultural workers, and members form care groups that adopt workers the church sends out. We will discover some takeaways to implement at our own churches.

Guest Bios

Meagan Landis’s overall focus is to mobilize young adults for local and overseas missions. She helps to oversee many events and is involved in Calvary’s Explore and Cross Training programs, as well as short-term ministry teams. Meagan is honored to be a piece of the puzzle that is God’s plan to carry out the Great Commission. Meagan loves to spend time outdoors, and she especially loves the water. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology with a concentration in marine biology and previously served in environmental missions in the Philippines, where she was on the diving team. Meagan also loves trying new foods, visiting new coffee shops and musical theater.

Bethany Zipprick assists in mobilizing those who feel God calling them to be more globally-minded in their lives, walking alongside them as they recognize how God has gifted them to reach the nations around them—whether locally in Lancaster or across the world. She has always had a heart for the world and a desire to be a part of the work that God is doing to bring the nations to Himself. Bethany has a degree in radiologic technology and also works part time as an X-ray tech at a local hospital. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family—especially her niece and nephew.

Terri Sherman coordinates details for the Global Ministries department. She believes that her role in ministry is a calling to daily further the Great Commission in small ways. Outside of Calvary, Terri loves spending time with her grandchildren and enjoys a good beach day with her family.
