Guest Bio
Karen Tolleson was born in East Texas and raised in a godly home where missions was valued. From an early age, she began serving in ministry through Child Evangelism Fellowship, where she learned to communicate the simple truths of the gospel. She later served with Life Action Ministries in both administrative and recruiting roles.
Karen joined Christar and spent six years in East Asia before transitioning to their U.S. office, where she served for more than 12 years as pre-field training coordinator. A graduate of Bob Jones University with a degree in International Studies, she also earned a master’s in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary.
Now serving in Spain as the director of training and development for the Christar Church-Planting Division, Karen continues to invest in equipping others for cross-cultural ministry. In January 2026, she'll mark 20 years of service with Christar.
