How can I send a donation?

Are contributions to Christar tax-deductible?
Yes. We are registered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, and contributions are tax-deductible.
Can I give regularly through a transfer from my bank account?
Electronic funds transfer (EFT) allows you to schedule monthly donations via automatic transfer from your bank account. You can set this up as you make an online donation.
How do I find out if a Christar worker has specific financial needs or learn about giving toward a Christar worker in need of additional support?

How does Christar acknowledge my donations?
We respond to gifts with a receipt indicating the amount of the gift and the name of the worker or project you designated as the recipient.
How can I send another donation by mail if I’ve misplaced my receipt?
Send a check to 1500 International Pkwy., Suite 300, Richardson, TX 75081 with a note indicating the name of the worker or project you would like to receive your gift.
How can I request a duplicate receipt for one I have misplaced or did not receive?

Can I give an automobile, frequent flier miles or other property to Christar or to a Christar worker?
Yes, but we must follow IRS guidelines for acknowledging noncash gifts. We can describe what has been given, but cannot assign a value to it.
How does Christar acknowledge or receipt my noncash gifts?
We send a letter describing the gift that has been received.
How much are Christar administrative fees?
We currently assess a 10% administrative fee from gifts given via check or electronic funds transfer. An additional 3% administrative fee is assessed for donations given via credit or debit card to cover the added costs of processing these gifts.
How are your administrative fees used?
Our administrative fees help cover the costs of the overall operations and management of Christar U.S. This includes office staff salaries, accounting, insurance, office management, auditing, human resources, building fees and other centralized services, as well as costs for publicity, events and donor relations.
How is Christar held accountable for handling my gifts?
Christar is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), and we hold ourselves to its standards for stewardship of the funds God has entrusted to us. Will I be issued an annual summary of my gifts?
Each receipt provides a year-to-date summary, so the receipt you receive for your December donation will provide the total amount of donations for the year.
What does Christar do with my name and contact information?
We only use your contact information to get in touch with you. We never share this information with others.
