EXPLORE Christar is for anyone who’s open to being used by God in His global work.
EXPLORE Christar is designed for those over 20 years old interested in serving abroad, candidates applying to serve with Christar and interested church leaders.
We welcome you! EXPLORE Christar is designed to help you clarify how the Lord is leading you and identify next steps.
The event starts promptly on Friday at 4 p.m. and ends after lunch on Monday at 1 p.m. Plan your flights accordingly, including your 30-45-minute trips to/from the Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport or Love Field Airport.
Yes. You will have to do a bit of make-up work, but everything you participate in will count toward your pre-field training. We also ask that you consider staying through Monday evening in order to complete interviews Monday afternoon.
$500 per person. Ask your church leader(s) if your church might pay this fee.
Three nights’ lodging, meals and snacks, engaging sessions, activity with Group Dynamix, ethnic restaurant experience, time with overseas workers and more.
No, child care will not be provided for this weekend event. For those with children requiring child care and who are more seriously considering Christar, we recommend our weeklong New Personnel Orientation.
Part of your “adventure” is to get yourself between the airport and the hotel and back—just like you will have to figure out how to get around overseas. Once onsite, transportation is provided.
