The 2024 Christar Summit: Unity Unleashed in Plano, Texas was a springboard for moving forward together. Since then, we have challenged ourselves to pursue next steps and stay engaged, and we invite you to do the same!

Encouraged by Great Commission Collaboration

Since the summit, we’ve been encouraged to see numerous participants take significant steps in pursuing Great Commission involvement and collaboration:

Two summit participants are heading to North Macedonia on a vision trip in April!
One summit participant just returned from a vision trip to Albania and is considering how God might be calling her to serve at the GDQ School.
Other participants have come alongside our Minnow Bucket presenters to strengthen their initiatives through consulting and partnership; two signed up as Switchboard volunteers to contribute their professional skills to one of our cross-cultural workers building a new business.
Eight more summit participants signed up with Switchboard to serve globally through virtual volunteering in a variety of ways.

One of our summit workshops highlighted Switchboard as a platform to connect believers with Great Commission needs across the globe. Through it, opportunities to serve alongside teams around the world are waiting to be filled, no travel required!

This opportunity to involve the global Church in a big-picture way has been enhanced with the February 3 release of the “Virtual Missions Kit,” a collaborative project of Christar, Switchboard and Pioneers fueled by a grant from the Missio Nexus Innovation Fund. This resource is packed with everything you need to encourage your whole congregation to participate in missions through virtual volunteering, including video, a skill-assessment tool and announcement slides and guides. - Be part of the North Macedonia vision trip in April! Brad, from our first Minnow Bucket presentation, has room for three more people who are curious about joining their work and want to see more. Email [email protected] for more information.
- Are there potential cross-cultural workers in your congregation? Encourage them to fill out a Get Started form to explore how Christar can help your church send them to serve in least-reached communities.
