Finding your way
If long-term cross-cultural service is on your radar but the details are still unclear, you’re not alone.
Maybe you’ve started asking yourself some questions:
- How do I decide which organization to serve with?
- Should I really invest my life in cross-cultural ministry?
- What is the life of a cross-cultural worker really like?
- Where does God want me to serve?
Christar has short-term opportunities, from two weeks to two years in length, designed to help you discover what God’s call might be for you.
Christar short-term opportunities give you a taste of what it’s like to be on a church-planting team and help you determine how the Lord is leading you to serve Him. We provide you with a firsthand experience of ministry among least-reached Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims or other Asians—under the guidance of people who are already doing it.
You’re faced with big decisions. We’ll be here to walk alongside you as you seek God and His will. We will help you prepare for your short-term trip and we will pray regularly for you. Above all, we want you to serve God wherever and with whomever He leads.
Our single goal—establishing God-glorifying, Christ-centered communities—is a process, not an event. It takes time to get to know people, so this ministry is a difficult, long-term endeavor. We’ve designed Christar’s short-term opportunities in partnership with workers on the field, to help you make a real, lasting impact while you gain experience. The positions we offer also often satisfy college or seminary internship requirements.
