TEACH ~ Serving Kurds and Expats: Middle East
Would you like to help a long-term team expand its ministry to additional rural locations? Serve among Kurds by teaching English, helping with children’s clubs and building relationships.
Who? Kurds
What? Teach English to children, teenagers or adults. Help lead children’s clubs. Assist in home-schooling workers’ kids (grades 3, 4 and 5 in the 2022-23 school year) or volunteer at an expat kids’ weekly co-op.
When? One month to one year; unable to host short trips from June 22 – Aug. 28, 2023.
Where? Middle East
Why? By teaching and assisting with activities, you will help long-term workers build relationships with neighbors, business friends and others as they live out and share the gospel.
How? The team seeks to reach out to the least-reached in rural areas and develop resources for teaching English as a foreign language.
Cost? $5,500 for two months (including pre-field training)
Desired Skills and Qualities:
- Ability to speak English well enough to teach it
- Ability to handle some physical activity, such as climbing stairs
