Eden Vigil Project

Eden Vigil is committed to “loving Christ and His created.” It seeks to identify opportunities for ministry in least-reached communities that combine church planting and care for creation, as well as recruit students and professionals with a passion for environmental ministry.

Eden Vigil sends short-term Agabus Teams, small groups that explore ways that church planters can bless least-reached communities by caring for the environment. As they use their skills in areas like science, engineering and business, these teams uncover creative avenues for ministry such as access to clean water, renewable energy and ecotourism.

In addition, Eden Vigil recruits new workers with a heart for least-reached people and for God’s creation. Eden Vigil shows them firsthand that care for creation and planting churches can go hand in hand. Many times, as team members explore possibilities for environmental ministry, they fall in love with the people and ecosystems of least-reached communities. And, many of them return as long-term workers.

Your gift to Eden Vigil will help connect believers with a passion for church planting and environmental ministry with opportunities for ministry in places where the gospel isn’t yet known. Through these ministries, both least-reached people and the places in which they live will be blessed.

Pray for the Eden Vigil Project:

  • Ask God to guide Christar teams as they explore opportunities for ministry that combine church planting and care for God’s creation.
  • Ask God to raise up more workers with a passion for both church planting and environmental stewardship.
  • Ask God to use workers recruited through Eden Vigil to bring blessing to least-reached communities and, ultimately, help establish many churches where none yet exist.

Giving through is safe and secure.
